The Elder Scrolls Online: Beta Details

In just a matter of a few months, players we finally be able to explore the world of Tamriel as an MMORPG for the first time ever. Game makers, ZeniMax Online Studios has confirmed via Twitter that they plan to begin the beta test for the MMORPG sometime in 2013.

The Elder Scrolls Online is set to take place in the same areas that we played through in: MorrowindOblivion and Skyrim. However, the main story line is set to take place hundreds of years before the events of those games setting the game as a prequel . Players will have a choice of which alliance they are going to stand with and battle for control of the central province of Cyrodiil. They’ll also face off against the Daedric Prince Molag Bal and a host of other evils.

No details have been announced for the beta yet. Game Director Matt Firor suggested in an Edge interview that it would involve thousands of players and would be very lengthy. It would only make sense as most MMORPG’s tend to have massive amounts of bugs, balancing, and glitches that need to fixed. ZeniMax has posted an update on Twitter stating that additional beta details will be revealed through Twitter, Facebook and the game’s official website.
